  • 170g icing sugar
  • 160g ground almonds
  • 4 medium egg whites, separated into 2 equal batches
  • 160g granulated sugar
  • 1/4tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2tsp food colouring (optional)
  • raspberry or strawberry jam
