I’ve delved into the Wee White Dug’s vast Scottish travel archives to share a taste of the stunning Outer Hebrides with you.

Last April we travelled to Skye and boarded the CalMac ferry from Uig bound for the Isle of Harris.

Our accommodation for the trip was a self-catering cottage in Tarbert, the main village in Harris. Owned by the wonderful Hotel Hebrides it was the perfect base for our island adventure.

Mr G who is a complete stranger to a toilet brush and frying pan relishes his role of washer wummin’ and emptier of bins in our household.
