  • 200 g bread cubes
  • 100 g grated Emmentaler
  • 100 g Grey or Mountain cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/8 l milk
  • 1 onion
  • 1 spoon butter
  • oil
  • 3/4 l soup
  • Salz
  • pepper
  • wild chives

For the Kaspressknödel first cut the onions small and sauté them in butter till they are glassy.

Mix the bread cubes with the onions and grated cheese, season it.

Mix milk and eggs and pour over bread cubes – thoroughly stir and let steep.

Take the dough and form dumplings, press flat and roast gently in a pan.

Then dab with kitchen paper, sprinkle with chives and put into soup.
