Apologies for being awol the last couple of days, not had very good internet.  But we’ve had an exciting time.

Thursday we went across the Chirk Aqueduct and the Pontcysylte Aqueduct. The Chirk Aqueduct is like a little test of the bigger one to come. After the aqueduct came the Chirk tunnel.  It was quite long and dark but I sat in the cratch and took some photos.

The Pontcylslyte aqueduct is 126 foot high and 1007 feet long.  There is a path with railings that goes right along the aqueduct, it was full of Japanese taking photos. On the other side where the canal is, there is a drop. I have to admit to being extremely scared but when the boat starts going across it’s like its in a trough, you cant go over the side thankfully.  I took photos from the front but only looking across the view…
