A weekend with the winemaker at his vineyard

Summary: We stayed with friends on their vineyard (cue jealous squinty eyes coming my way) in the beautiful Beaujolais region. As if that wasn’t enough, their village was everything that the idea of a wine region village conjures up with no shortage of others within walking distance. They cooked us food, let us taste their wines and then took us to a picnic with their friends. French hospitality and countryside at it’s best in this post.

Takeaway tip: Talking to the winemaker can give you a greater appreciation for what goes into the bottle sitting on the shelf.

We have friends who own a vineyard in the French Beaujolais region. And they invited us to visit for a weekend. Cue high kicks (ouch) and high-pitched squeals of excitement (from me and Theo)!
