Weekend in Brussels!

After about six weeks of living a cheap lifestyle and watching every pence I spend, I figured I deserved a vacation. Last weekend my flatmate and I packed a bag of snacks (the most important travel companion) and set off to Victoria coach station. We had been talking about doing a trip to somewhere nearby and Tanisha had said that more than anything she wanted another stamp in her passport. That ruled out Scotland and Wales (even though we had already sneaked in a cheeky day trip to Newport) and left us with Britain’s neighbors.

Dublin proved too expensive even by bus. Places like the Netherlands and Germany and southern Europe were best gotten to by plane and booking a week in advance wasn’t feasible on our budgets.
