Day 2 • Paris

After such an enjoyable first day in Paris, I woke up excited to see what the rest of the city had to offer. Being our second and already final day here we had a lot of ground to cover, so after a quick breakfast/planning session, we set out to the Arc de Triomph. Located in the centre of Place Charles de Gaulle, the monument itself is not only beautifully ornate, but has a breathtaking 360 degree view over the city. Being students and part of the E.E.A we were able to climb to the top for free (reason #967 why Britain should not be leaving the EU), where we were privy to a panorama of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the juxtaposing skyscrapers of Paris’ business district, and of course; the Eiffel Tower. Looking back on our stop here, this was definitely one of the highlights.
