Caserrole Dill Bread

  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 2 Tlbs Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tbls Dried Minced Onion
  • 2 tsp. Dill Weed
  • ¼ tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 4 Tlbsp. Margarine (softened)
  • ¼ Cup Hot Water
  • 1 Cup Cottage Cheese (room temp)
  • 1 Egg (room temp)

Activate Yeast, mix water, sugar, and yeast. In a bowl mix together ¼ cup of the flour, salt, minced onion, dill, and baking soda. Add margarine to mixture. Add the yeast mixture and beat the ingredients for 2 mins with a hand blender at medium speed . Add cottage cheese, egg, and ½ cup of the flour then beat again for 2 mins on high speed. Slowly add in remaining flour until batter is stiff. Cover and let rise until doubled. Stir down dough, turn into a greased casserole dish (1½ qt.) and let rise until doubled in size.  Bake at 350° for 30 mins.
