Edinburugh

martyrostour

Today we were joined by a city guide who took us on a tour of Edinburgh castle and the old and new town as well as a trip to a small uninhabited mount.

There was light drizzle again today which has made us nervous for the tatoo performance yonight which is not under cover. The iner city has been built actoss a couple of steep gullies so small bridges link the main street much higher up than the streets that bisect them below.

There are a couple of other volcanic outcrops in Edinburgh as well as the one the castle is built on, and from one of these we had a great view of the city.
