It is my assumption that the majority of people spend most of their day at job away from their home. I do. So it begs the question….What’s in Your Office Drawer??

Nutrition – The Basic Staple to Getting Fit

OJW Fitness

Getting fit isn’t just about getting down the gym and pumping iron. In fact, that’s the easy part. Any PT will agree. The real task to getting fit is all about what you put into your body, after all, you can’t hit new personal records if all you eat is ice cream and pizza.

Everyone’s body works differently, meaning there is no set way to eat. Even giving yourself the same goals as your workout partner will require you to have different diets. However, I’m going to share my tips on what I’ve done and give you a rough idea of how I improved my diet to help get fit and achieve my goals.

The first thing you need to do is look at what you’re eating that you shouldn’t be. I found this incredibly easy as growing up, both of my parents were nurses so I was always fed…

Time to put a stop, to the non-stop.

Stay Uber Motivated In Health & Wealth

I’m drawn to simple, neat, minimalistic, classic, under-complicated, black or white, and clean.  I like this in home, in health, in stealth, in wealth.  I like my closets clean, empty, simple, just like my home, just like my life.  I like my bank accounts easy, with just deposits.

I’m constantly drawn to a clean diet, a regular steady exercise routine, and routine in general.  Life does complicate things, and us humans complicate things further.  But if I know anything about myself, it’s this:  simplicity, minimalism, the real, and all things whole matter the most.  I like my marriage and relationships uncomplicated, and peaceful.
We’re all constantly learning about ourselves through experience, through every day living.  Some of us are listening, and some of us aren’t.  But the truth is always coming through.

I’m going to try to dedicate time each and every day to ensure that all of my habits…

Road Trip to Fjørtoft

A Northerner in Norway

Every summer, Bjørnar and I head to Fjørtoft; the beautiful island he grew up on in Sunnmøre. In the past, we have taken the bus from Bergen to Ålesund, and then another bus, before getting on the final ferry to the island. This usually takes around 12 hours and is very draining! So this year, Bjørnar decided to drive.

The journey itself is wonderful and I am always captivated by the beautiful views of the mountains and fjords. I pack a book for the trip every time and never end up reading it because I’m either gazing out of the window or sleeping! There are 5 ferries in total throughout the journey, allowing you to stretch your legs, breathe in some fresh air and grab a bite to eat. Since I’m a fan of brunost, I opted for a brunost svele and was not disappointed! It’s safe to say my love for brunost…

New country – New family member

Awesome Foursome ride again

We now have a new awesome foursome. Glenn’s sister Helen joined us in Stansted to fly to Slovenia. We just arrived at our gate about to board the plane and a fire alarm went off which ended up delaying us nearly 2 hours. Turns out some annoying person was smoking in the toilets.

Our hire car is a very new Mercedes but unfortunately our trusty GPS couldn’t find anything in Slovenia so with basic instructions from a young fellow we headed off. We were a little nervous when Lake Bled was not on the early signs. Relieved to see the Bled turn off we stopped at an information centre but it was closed so went into the supermarket nearby where a helpful woman gave us a map but her English was very limited. Luckily Helen asked a family and the young fellow put our address in his phone and showed…

Day 2 • Paris

Elena In Europe

After such an enjoyable first day in Paris, I woke up excited to see what the rest of the city had to offer. Being our second and already final day here we had a lot of ground to cover, so after a quick breakfast/planning session, we set out to the Arc de Triomph. Located in the centre of Place Charles de Gaulle, the monument itself is not only beautifully ornate, but has a breathtaking 360 degree view over the city. Being students and part of the E.E.A we were able to climb to the top for free (reason #967 why Britain should not be leaving the EU), where we were privy to a panorama of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the juxtaposing skyscrapers of Paris’ business district, and of course; the Eiffel Tower. Looking back on our stop here, this was definitely one of the highlights.

In the afternoon, we set…
